All of this began with Annie.

Annie built The Maloney Team around service, education, integrity, and the belief that doing the small things exceptionally well could change someone’s experience. She died on August 23, 2021. The business she founded continues in her honor, guided by the client-first values she taught her family and team.
A life of service
The woman behind the legacy
Annie moved to the United States from Quebec, Canada, in the seventh grade without speaking English. By the time she was in high school, she had become a naturalized U.S. citizen. She met those early challenges with determination and went on to excel through adversity—a strength that remained part of who she was throughout her life.
Before real estate, Annie spent 11 years as a customer service manager for a Fortune 100 car rental company in Fort Lauderdale. That experience shaped a deeply personal approach to service: return the call, listen carefully, treat every client with dignity, and always go the extra mile.
In February 2004, Annie and her husband, Matt, moved their family from South Florida to East Tennessee to create a slower, more grounded life for their children, Christian, Julia, and Alyssa. The move also gave Annie the chance to pursue a long-held dream.
She began working in Tennessee real estate in April 2005, joined the Great Smoky Mountains Association of REALTORS®, and later expanded her professional reach through the Knoxville Area Association of REALTORS®. Annie’s commitment to education and service helped her become a respected broker and a trusted guide for families investing in the Smoky Mountains.
More than production or awards, Annie’s enduring achievement was the culture she built: a family team rooted in care, responsiveness, hard work, and respect.
