Knoxville Luxury Real Estate

Knoxville has many different communities and subdivisions that offer upscale living and luxurious homes in multiple price ranges.  From club houses and golf communities to private boat docks and year round water, Knoxville has it all.  You can enjoy the peace and serenity of your lakefront estate from any of the 1,000 plus miles of shoreline or enjoy the “ping” of the ball as it sails through the fairway on the back 9, also known as “Your backyard”.  Knoxville continues to receive recognition on many levels each year.  In July 2007, Boating Life magazine ranked Knoxville, Tennessee #3 (tied for third place) in an article titled "10 Best Places to Live and Boat".

Boating Life magazine's Mike Tyler writes,"It's not hard to figure out why boat manufacturers such as Sea Ray, Bayliner, MasterCraft and Skier's Choice, among others, set up shop in or near Knoxville. The Tennessee River, which runs right through downtown, is part of every aspect of life here. Upstream of the city, the river is a popular fishing and camping spot. Closer to the city, recreation is ever feeding from the river.  "The biggest pull for the downtown area is the [University of Tennessee] football season because of the massive tailgating parties on boats," says Joe Cornelius, manager of the Marinas on Lake Loudon.  As the river flows out of downtown, it forms Fort Loudon Lake where there's been a recent boom of lakefront housing development. But the centerpiece of the area is Tellico Lake, where most of the boatbuilders test their boats. It also became the place to live ever since nationally known Tellico Village opened in the 1990s."

Knoxville History

Knoxville was founded in 1791, when William Blount met with the Cherokee to establish territorial boundaries.  This was known as “The Treaty of Holston”.  The specific terms of the treaty were disputed by the Cherokee for some time resulting in many attacks and battles between the Cherokee and the settlers.  Peace was finally restored in 1794.  In 1796, Tennessee was established as a state and the capital at the time was “Knoxville, Tennessee”.  The city of Knoxville remained the capital until 1819 when it was moved to Murfreesboro.  Knoxville is the third largest city in the state behind Memphis and Nashville.  Knoxville is also the second oldest behind Nashville which was founded in 1779.

Are you selling your Knoxville Tennessee Real Estate?

Whether you are moving out of Knoxville or you are moving 2 streets over, I can help.  If you are in the market for a new home, it is safe to say that you are probably getting ready to sell one also.   The selling of your home can be a major challenge.  This is a challenge that I am well equipped to tackle.  There are several steps that must be methodically executed to properly move your home from an "available" status to a "SOLD" one.  Some of these steps include performing a CMA (Comparative Market Analysis) so that we can set a competetive sales price from the beginning, preparing the listing agreement, preparing or "staging" the house for show, properly marketing your home using all strategies such as the MLS, flyers, brochures, virtual tours and a powerful internet campaign, and finally negotiating the deal to ensure all terms and aspects of closing are carried through properly and legally to protect the interest of YOU, the seller.  If you are selling your home in Knoxville and relocating out of state, you may want to visit our friends in Tampa.  Tampa Bay Real Estate continues to flourish and Bob Lipply can assist you with all your real estate needs in the Tampa Bay area.
